Tampa is a lively city on Florida's westerly coast and is literally loaded with brilliant museums, theme parks and some of the most exquisite beaches on the west coast of Florida, such as the famed Clearwater Beach. East of downtown Tampa is the Ybor City district, known for its history of Cuban cigar-making and abundance of shopping malls, restaurants and breweries, particularly around Seventh Avenue.
One of the city's biggest visitor attractions is Busch Gardens, which is close to Tampa Airport (TPA) and located to the north of downtown. This African-themed amusement park has an adjoining zoo containing almost 3,000 animals from all over the African continent, as well as plenty of white-knuckle rides.
